My name is Jackie McClain. I'm from Midwest City Oklahoma which is about thirty minutes from Norman. This is my freshman year at the university and I have enjoyed getting use to living on my own. At the moment my major is in the process of changing to elementary education, but I would like to get my masters in psychology. I chose to take intro to women studies because it seemed like one of the most interesting classes that was being offered as a sociology. What I would like to learn in this class is 1. Why is it that beauty is seen as tall, thin, and fair skinned? 2. Why do women have such image issues? 3. Why do women have attachment issues? 4. What is the importance of gender? and 5. Why do so many women feel the need to be in a relationship?
